What is it about people who always seem upbeat and quick with a smile? Today I acknowledged such a person saying, “I can tell you are smiling in your voice. Hearing you smile put a big smile on my face this morning. Thank you for that!”

I have been very happy with my hair stylist over the past decade and I will miss him very much, but he said that you cut his hair and do an excellent job. That’s a big compliment coming from him as he is very persnickety. It is what makes him so good at my hair!

Your joy always makes me smile
I ended a response to a friend I have known a few years, but not with “I hope you never lose your effervescence, your joy always makes me smile.” It didn’t flow with the rest of the message, but I always smile when thinking of her and today I let her know that.
